What To Expect At Your First Skin Check

  • No referral required.

Book directly online via AutoMed or call the clinic on (03) 9969 5000.

    New patients are welcome.

  • Your appointment begins with our nursing team, who use the FotoFinder ATBM system to capture Total Body Photography, a high-resolution baseline map of your skin. You will be asked to undress to your underwear; please avoid wearing makeup on the day.

  • At the end of your consultation, you will receive a clear outcome.

    There are three typical pathways:

    All Clear:

No concerning lesions identified. You will be placed on our reminder system for your next skin check, recommended at regular intervals based on your individual risk profile.

    Monitoring Required:

One or more lesions require short-term photographic monitoring. A follow-up appointment is scheduled, typically around three months later, to compare images and assess for any change.

    Treatment Required:

A biopsy or procedure is recommended. In most cases, this can be arranged at SkinGP. Your doctor will explain the findings, discuss all options, and outline the next steps clearly.

  • Patients with a history of skin cancer or higher-risk profiles are supported with a structured follow-up schedule. Your imaging records are retained at the clinic, allowing our doctors to track any changes in your skin over time.
