About SkinGP, Skin Cancer Clinics

SkinGP is a purpose-built skin cancer clinic caring for patients across the Macedon Ranges and, from October 2026, Melbourne's south-east.

SkinGP opened its Woodend clinic on 1 July 2024, and in the time since, our team has grown, our capability has expanded, and our commitment to the community has only deepened.

The clinic was founded by Dr Ashvin Arul and Dr Loshna Devamany, local doctors who identified a clear and pressing need: the Macedon Ranges had no dedicated skin cancer facility, and patients were either relying on general practice appointments or travelling to Melbourne for specialist care. SkinGP was built to change that.

In October 2026, that same standard of dedicated, accredited skin cancer care is coming to Melbourne, with the opening of our new Glen Iris clinic.

Today, SkinGP is the only clinic in the Macedon Ranges with Accredited Skin Cancer Doctors - a formal designation awarded by the Skin Cancer College of Australasia, the only peak body in Australia and New Zealand that offers formal accreditation and fellowship in skin cancer medicine. This distinction is shared by only a select group of doctors across Australia.

Combined with AGPAL practice accreditation, the FotoFinder imaging system, and best-practice clinical workflows designed specifically for skin cancer, SkinGP offers a standard of dedicated skin cancer care that was previously unavailable in this region.

Our Mission

Zero deaths from melanoma.

70% of Australians will face skin cancer at some point in their lives. Every 30 minutes, someone is diagnosed with melanoma.

Every six hours, someone loses their life to it. SkinGP exists to change those numbers, in the Macedon Ranges, and beyond.

Our Clinical Support Team

Behind every appointment at SkinGP is a clinical team dedicated to making your experience as comfortable and supported as possible. Our skin cancer nurses assist with Total Body Photography, help prepare for and assist during procedures, and provide follow-up care. Our reception and administration team ensures every patient is welcomed, kept informed, and never feels lost in the process.

Our whole team, clinical and administrative, is local to our region. We understand this community because we are part of it. Our doctors work across both clinics, bringing that same standard of accredited skin cancer care to every patient, at either location.

Community

SkinGP is part of the Macedon Ranges community, and from October 2026, part of Melbourne's too. Our reception and administrative teams are local to each clinic, and our doctors bring that same standard of accredited care across both locations.

We believe every person deserves access to expert skin cancer care without having to travel far to get it.

Partnerships

SkinGP supports and participates in community events across the Macedon Ranges, including Melanoma March, the Macedon Cricket Club Pink Stumps Day and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation.

We are committed to raising awareness of skin cancer prevention and early detection across our region.

Accreditation

SkinGP holds AGPAL (Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited) accreditation, with policies and procedures recognised for excellence.

This independent accreditation confirms that SkinGP meets the highest standards in clinical practice, patient safety, and practice management.
