What is FotoFinder and what does it do at a skin check?

FotoFinder is the skin imaging system used at SkinGP. It combines full body photographic mapping, high definition dermoscopy at up to 400x magnification, and AI-assisted analysis in one appointment.

Why compare a mole against a photo instead of memory?

Most people's sense that a mole hasn't changed is based on memory, which is unreliable for gradual change. FotoFinder photographs your whole body and maps your moles, so your next visit has an actual record to compare against.

Is FotoFinder included in a Full Skin Check at SkinGP Glen Iris?

Yes. FotoFinder is included as standard in every Full Skin Check at SkinGP Glen Iris, the same as at Woodend, with no separate booking and no added cost.

Has That Mole Actually Stayed the Same?

Comparing against memory isn't comparing against anything

Most people's sense that “it hasn't changed” is based on memory, not an actual record. Memory is unreliable for exactly this kind of gradual change, which is why FotoFinder exists.

What FotoFinder actually does

Three things in one appointment:

Full body photographic mapping
High-definition dermoscopy at up to 150x magnification
AI-assisted analysis

Your whole body is photographed and your moles are mapped, so your next visit has something real to compare against.

Available at every Glen Iris appointment

Included as standard in every Full Skin Check at SkinGP Glen Iris, serving Malvern, Malvern East, Camberwell, Ashburton, Hawthorn East and Burwood, the same as at Woodend. No separate booking, no added cost.
